Where to find the business start date

This can be found on your tax return on page:

  • SEF 1 of a full self employment page
  • SES 1 of a short self employment page
  • FP 1 of a full partnership page
  • SP 1 of a short partnership page

If your business started before 5 April 1996 you should check your own records. If you do not have this use your best estimate.
