Can I still pay by Direct Debit if my liability is due tomorrow?
Yes. But your payment won't be collected for at least 3 working days after it has been set up so it will arrive with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) after the due date and may incur interest. You may be able to pay immediately by debit card. If you have a Maestro, Solo, Electron or Visa debit card drawn on a UK bank account please visit the Paying HMRC page and follow the instructions.
