Can I change my Direct Debit payment(s) once I have set up a payment plan?
That depends on what the payment(s) is/are for and how close to the next payment date you are. If you have an agreed arrangement with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to repay an outstanding debt you will need to contact them at the address or telephone number on your Advance Notice letter to discuss your payments. Also, as Direct Debit collections operate on a 3 day cycle it is impossible to amend a payment within 3 working days of the payment being collected because the payment process will have already started.
