How do I activate the Import Control System (ICS) service?
The Government Gateway will automatically issue you with an Activation Code for ICS. The code will be issued within 7 days of you completing your enrolment and will be sent to the address you give for the service.
It may take up to 10 days for you to receive the Activation Code letter or up to 21 days if you are overseas.
When you receive your letter you must activate the ICS service within 28 days of the date on shown on the letter or the code will expire and you will have to request a new one.
