What are payments on account?
Payments on account are payments you make towards your current year's tax. You have to make 2 payments, one by 31 January in the current year and the other by next 31 July. Each payment is half of the tax due for the previous year.
You can view the dates your 'Payments on Account' are due by following the 'View account' and 'Current position' links in the left-hand menu.
