Pension savings tax charges 06 - Annual Allowance tax paid or payable by your pension scheme
The amount of your pension savings that benefits from tax relief is limited to an annual allowance is £40,000. Schemes that qualify are:
- a registered pension scheme
- an overseas pension scheme - as long as either you or your employer qualify for UK tax relief on those pension savings
Tax on your private pension contributions
If you save more than this amount you may have to pay a tax charge on the excess.
Enter the amount of Annual Allowance excess tax charge paid or payable by the scheme administrator, who will have told you how much tax has been paid.
Where more than one pension scheme has paid such a tax charge, enter the total.
