Rates of deduction

A deduction is the amount that contractors are required to withhold from payments made to you on account of your eventual tax and Class 4 National Insurance Contributions bill. This will be at either the standard rate or higher rate:

• Standard rate (Payment under deduction) - 20%
• Higher rate (Unmatched) - 30%
