Is there a 'Y' at Section 5 to indicate that Student Loans should be deducted?

If the employee's P45 has a 'Y' at Section 5 it means that you should start to make Student Loan deductions.  You should update your payroll records and your payroll software will automatically calculate and make these deductions.
