Description
Product is a sand additive for foundry core making applications Use: anti-veining additive for cold box cores to prevent finning defects in higher temperature alloys The material is a blend of industrial starches with superfine red iron oxide and is also available in a version with a dye addition which changes the colour of the material and the ensuing core Product is packaged in 25kg bags, 750kg bags or 1000kg bags

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3(1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect - a. GIR 5(b) has been used to identify the type of packaging: supplied in 25kg bags, 750kg bags and 1000kg bags. GIR 6 has been used to classify the goods to subheading level - 382410 - Prepared binders for foundry moulds or cores 10 Digit Code: 3824100090 – other than based on synthetic resins Also classified in accordance with: HSENS to 3824.
