Osteotec Silicone Finger Instruments. A re-useable surgical instrument set that consists of a starter awl and a set of 11 proximal rasps and 11 distal rasps (in various sizes), which are intended to be used for preparing the bone ready for a silicone finger implant to replace finger joints.
The awl is used for making the first mark and the rasps are used to create bone cavities for the implantation of the silicone finger implant. Each rasp is dedicated to a particular size of implant and is based on the design of the proximal or distal stem.
The instruments and sizers are all supplied non-sterile and must be sterilized before use and are packaged in a custom made tray to enable sterilisation and easy transportation.
