Description
The product is a small butterfly shaped aluminium clip with an acrylic adhesive foam covering. It is a sterile, single use, inert device attached to the exposed end of the Kirschner wires (K-wires), and lies external, and without contact to the skin. The intended purpose of this item is to minimise the risk of re-injury and discomfort to the patient by preventing snagging on clothing or other objects from the exposed end of a K-wire. The product will be used by surgeons in the operating theatre. The K-wires are stiff, straight wires that are sometimes needed to repair a fracture (broken bone). K-wires are also commonly called 'pins'. If a fracture that requires surgery, they may need K-wires to help hold the bones in place until they heal. This clip will be used by surgeons in the operating theatre and on K-wire typically from 0.5mm to 4mm. K-wire is not included in this ATaR. Package with 2 units, box with 25 packages.

Justification
