Description
A Rain Blower This item forms part of a satellite telecommunications “system” which is used for communications over commercial frequency satellites. The “system” provides voice and data connectivity to radio frequency (RF) networks. An antenna rain blower is a device designed to remove moisture and debris from satellite antennas, primarily to ensure optimal performance and signal quality. The primary function of the rain blower is to clear rain, snow, or ice that accumulates on the surface of antennas. This is crucial because moisture can disrupt signal transmission and reception. By keeping the antenna surface clear, the blower helps maintain a strong and uninterrupted signal. Water and ice can cause attenuation (weakening) of signals, leading to decreased performance. Rain blowers work alongside sensors that detect rain/snow moisture. When such conditions are detected, the blower can activate automatically, providing hands-free maintenance. For shipment the units are packaged in purpose designed cardboard carton with foam inserts.
