- Description
- This part is an Optical collimator which is a passive component used to collimate the light beam from an optical fibre. These are made of glass optical fibre and a glass lens glued inside a metal tube. The glass optical fibre material is fused silica glass protected with an acrylate coating. The glass lens material is a dense flint glass or fused silica glass. The metal tube is a stainless-steel metal. The optical fibre and lens are glued in the metal tube using epoxy glues.

- Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3(1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect - a.
