Description
A Powder Containment Vessel which is used to transfer powders between process equipment in a pharmaceutical or sterile manufacturing environment. The vessel has a tri-clamp docking ring that attaches to the charging point and is also used to store or charge/discharge the product through valves. The product is predominantly manufactured from stainless steel with some made of alloy 22. It is made by forming pieces of metal into the relevant shapes (cone/cylinder/dome/feet) which are welded together to form a sealed vessel and tested to ensure free from leaks. The containers are filled with powder from one piece of equipment and moved to another piece of equipment to be un-loaded. In some cases, they may be flushed with liquid or gas to remove any residual powder. A sight glass is sometimes added so that a user can see how much powder remains inside and that the container vessel is empty. The product is packaged as a single container vessel to be connected to the valve by the customer.
