Channels are the route users make submissions to NCTS through.
Users of the web channel use the gov.uk website to make submissions.
Users of the extensible markup language (XML) channel use software which has not been provided by HMRC or gov.uk to make their submissions.
If you are trying to use the XML channel for submissions and are experiencing issues, check the software you use for submissions.
